More food will reach many of the south county residents who need it most this month thanks to a bonus commodities distribution event hosted by Great Northern Services on Monday, April 11 at 776 S. Davis Street in Weed.
In addition to commodities distribution, the event will feature a chance for residents to talk with other organizations who make key services available in the south county to those who need them.
Great Northern weatherization program representative Adam Kleier will be at the event as well with information about the free weatherizing service that helps make the homes of qualified residents warmer, safer, and more energy efficient.
South county residents eligible to receive commodities are asked to come prepared to sign a commodities self-certification form when they pick up their food and to bring their own reusable bag if possible.
