Calling all Summer Food Champions!
87% of Weed students are on free or reduced meals during the school year and come summertime, families struggle to meet the added costs of food when the kids are home. The USDA has a well established program that community supporters and GNS are bringing to Weed this summer to offer kids 18 and under a healthy lunch.

The program runs Monday – Friday from June 22 – Aug 17th

Site volunteers at Bel Air Park during the meal distribution (noon – 1:00 pm)
Activity organizers (arrange for age appropriate demos, story telling etc.)
Transportation of meals from WES to the park and back each day
